In 2004, the European Society for Cardiovascular Surgery approved the creation of a Junior Committee, a stand-alone case inside a professional surgical society, as its members are only surgeons in training. Along with the historical tradition of the European Society for Cardiovascular Surgery, the oldest society in Europe devoted to Cardiovascular Surgery, our main goal is to develop an electronic resource to foster tradition and innovation in our discipline.
